Having that said animals can’t comprehend their surroundings. They go about to find something to eat but not really understand if the food is edible. They demarcate their living place but don’t really understand if that place is sturdy or safe. They get sick but don’t know how to take care of themselves. They’re very much like human children that require to be looked after. Like a child, they require someone to make viable and wise decisions for them.

There are a lot of stray dogs and cats that are out in the wild, fighting climate change, diseases, and hunting for food. Every day is like a battle for them. At some places the street dogs/cats are taken in confinement and then moved to animal adoption centers. Some are lucky enough to get adopted, the rest stay there for the rest of their lives. Although the animals are well fed and pampered but they still crave for love. That’s why on getting adopted these animals feel like they’re the luckiest animals on this planet and their joy is a sight for sore eyes. Hence if anyone decides on having a dog/cat at home they should go for adoption centers because a cat or a dog at the adoption centers waits every day to get adopted and dreams of moving into a home they can call theirs.

The pet animals we have at home, look to us for food and homage. They are in capable to meet their needs themselves and it’s the responsibility of the owner to look after them. Some might say that an animal’s conscience does not exist, but there are many instances where animals are seen to be looking up to their human and expressing their love in the best way possible. A dog for example is taken as a man’s best friend because they would go to extents when their human is in trouble. Dogs are very much fond of their humans; their feelings are aroused just by a pat on their back or a belly rub. Take a cat, cats send subtle signs of affection throughout the day, like staring adoringly, then squinting. Other physical signals include rubbing their head on you, and of course purring. So that’s the thing they don’t ask much but are willing to give you all their love in return.

If it looks like they’re just feeding and living off you then think again. Especially at a time like this when depression and anxiety is prevailing and people are forced to opt for therapy and seek help from rehabilitation center, fostering pets at home really lightens one’s mood. Gives you a reason to get out of the bed and get the day going, in this way the feeling of being productive and having made a small accomplishment is attained as a start. The little signs of affection and care the pets show in return really brings a smile on one’s face. They make you feel important and develop the notion that even when the going gets tough and you feel like a total failure, your pet will still be waiting for you at home to get some snuggles and them snacks XD

In conclusion the world needs more of love and giving, and we need to take care of animals around us. Doing good does you good and especially doing good for animals that can’t look after themselves is a good deed altogether. Animals are struggling as much as people on this planet, but the main difference is that they can’t make conscious decisions for themselves to help them get out of a situation. Helping and guiding helpless souls makes one feel better about their own selves as well. So how I see it is that it’s a win-win situation for the sake humanity and helping a helpless soul.
